Usage
Bowie Dick test pack is used to detect inadequate air removal and steam penetration in vacuum-assisted Autoclave Sterilizers.
Features
- It consists of B-D test paper, laminations and foam sheet, which are wrapped and packed by a crepe paper with an indicator label outside.
- Under normal circumstances (the sterilizer operated at 132℃ or 134℃ for 3.5 min), the vapor can pass through laminations with good air permeability during sterilization to react with the indicator, and the indicator color on the BD test paper will changed from Blue to Black.
- If the cold air in the package is not completely removed, the cold air will affect the penetration of the steam, so that the center of the B-D test paper is formed differently from the surrounding light color area, thereby reflecting the sterilizer’s elimination effect on the cold air.
